Practice and all is coming.

Practice and all is coming.

Our Classes:

  • Classes are vinyasa style with a strong emphasis on alignment. Teachings are inspired by a theme and many lineages of yoga.

  • One hour of guided primary series, completing as many poses in the Ashtanga sequence as possible. Regular attendance is encouraged to learn this foundational practice.

  • This 45-minute class will turn you on from the inside out and the outside in. Top to bottom. All body weight movement. From large compound movement to smaller micro motion, this class is a great set up for all the things we love to do off the mat. Class is inspired by, pilates, yoga, personal training and basic stretching.

  • Create strength and flexibility with exercises that are guided from the principles of pilates but step outside the box of a classic pilates mat class. The whole body will feel the work with an emphasis each week on a particular body part such as arms and abs, hips and glutes, or spine and deep core muscles.

  • Named after a city in Southern India, Mysore style can be loosely described as “assisted self-practice” where students engage in a self-paced, individualized practice within the umbrella of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, in a group setting. Each student is taught individually, which gives greater opportunity to get in-depth instructions and modifications in case of injuries or oddities. When the student shows a certain level of proficiency and understanding of a posture’s primary action and foundation, you will be given the next, and so on. This ensures a gradual adjustment to new movement, strength and stamina slowly increase, and the fundamental techniques of Ashtanga Yoga can be cultivated.

If you are new to this style of Yoga we recommend you join the guided classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, 8:30 am. However, if you’d like to try this very traditional practice, please come at 4pm. Expect to observe for a bit and then you will practice approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Familiarize yourself with the Mysore style practice etiquette: https://ashtangatelluride.com/etiquette

    Punch passes apply.

  • A practice to connect deeper with your core, pelvic floor and more. We will use small props, breath and alignment to find greater mobility, balance and connection within.

  • Class features thoughtful warm up, breathwork, slow flow, prop play, and traditional or modified poses to support a variety of practice levels, body types and injury considerations.

  • Deliberate and informed sequencing with attention to detail, this class moves slower so you can pay attention and build a solid foundation. *This is a great class for those new or returning to a practice, or recovering from injury.

  • The class that touches on a little bit of everything. Seated meditation, breath work, blocks, walls, maybe a foam roller. Sometimes it’s slow and sweet, sometimes it’s hot and spicy. Always full and complete, this class in an antidote to the hard charging Telluride mountain lifestyle.

  • Yin classes are quiet, meditative asana practices with long, deep posture holds. This class uses mindful practices within each posture to target the body’s connective tissue, promote the mobilization of fascia and balance the nervous system.

  • Yoga Nidra is a guided journey through the koshas or layers of the body to travel beyond your conscious, thinking mind and into your sub-conscious mind. When in this state, you can unravel unconscious dated programming and create new neural-pathways in your brain. In this practice, the nervous and hormonal systems relearn its natural state of rest – a return to homeostasis.
