How did you get to Telluride? My wife Jessica brought me here. I didn’t really get it at first and then on the third or fourth visit it dawned on me that you could really live here — and I’ve wanted to ever since.
What’s your astrological sign? Aquarius.
What brings you the most joy? The one who brings me only joy is my cat. The most joy is harder to say. I’m satisfied all the way around.
Who or what influences your teaching style? My lifelong path as an athlete has been the greatest teacher.
How do you apply practice to your life? I’ve always been a seasonal athlete. Shifting and adjusting, putting one thing down and picking something else up. Staying ready to play is my practice.
About Grayson: I’ve grown up with training, teaching and coaching from a young age, it’s just what I’ve always been into. I first got interested in it as a kid because I saw it as a way to coach myself. Seeing myself objectively led to being able to see others in the same way. Solving the riddle of “how:” for me and for others became a profession 20+ years ago. Now in my 40s, I have some perspective to go along with my skills, knowledge and insights. Here I am ready to go at Practice.
What to expect from practice with Grayson: Strength + Stretch is about neuromuscular re-education. We’re trying to always lead our bodies into improvement through the challenges and sequences of the sessions. Specifically, we're improving our ready state. Locking in our gains as skills and bio-motor patterns that can be practiced over and over again. Yes show up, yes get stronger, yes get a stretch, yes feel better when you leave.
