PRACTICE
PRACTICE
The space where alignment is the focus ❍ It’s all a practice.
Dear students-
A new year always comes with some change, shifts and open horizons.
With much thought and consideration, I have decided to let go of the lease on the Practice space this spring 2025.
This comes after our 4 year business anniversary, the spring equinox and the lease coming to an end …To me, this is a natural and organic built-in pause.
It’s never easy closing a cherished space in a small town… Practice holds a special place in many peoples’ hearts. For me it has been like a child so naturally my heart feels tender. I have learned and grown a million times over as a teacher and human in this process. Thank you all for being with me as a part of this opportunity.
It’s been a honor and privilege to teach with and alongside so many talented teachers. We are only as great as those who you surround yourself with and I’m so very grateful to have had intentional and authentic teachers to do this with.
I have said it many times over the years, without the students there would be no one to teach. We have cried, sang, breathed and laughed together. Helped each other during injuries or in grief and shared in good times. Learned how to down dog and stand on our hands. A handful of you have been there since the first classes I taught here in town. I see you all and it’s been an honor to be a part of your practice.
For anybody who is like WTF it was all just starting to click, I just started, what now, where now?!?! I’m like that too, but I have to follow and trust my intuition here, I say that all the time, I believe in my heart if it’s meant to be it will be and there might be a time in the future for another go. But for now, I’m pausing... And looking forward to just being a student for a while.
Between now and April 1…
The last class with be 10am March 29th.
So use your class passes & gift cards in the meantime. The studio will not be able to refund you. You have 10 weeks, so roll out your mat and let’s go!
The very best way you can show your support is to keep practicing with us to the end of this opportunity and beyond.
The future of Practice:
We will continue to use our website and social media to communicate our offerings. Practice Telluride will continue on beyond the brick and mortar, through unique collaborations with movement students and teachers near and far.
317 East Colorado really is such a magical place and space that we all created together. Thank you for being in my life.
Lots of love,
Jess Xx
Our Schedule
Who we are…
We are a collective of teachers who teach what we practice and practice what we teach.
Our space at 317 East Colorado is a place of learning and self inquiry.
The clean and uncluttered studio is intended to be a cornerstone in our students' lives.
The beginner, the master, the injured, the athlete, the on-track, the one getting back on track-anybody and every body is welcome.
Our History
Practice Telluride was at first just a conversation between two women, Jessica Fertig and Naani Sheva. Out walking their dogs during the covid days, sharing thoughts and dreaming about the ideal place to practice. Wanting a space not too whoo whoo but also not too generic. Together, they opened the doors of Practice in March 2021. After 3 years working together, Naani moved on to pursue other work and personal endeavors. You can still find her teaching at the studio here and there or walking her dog Butter in town.
The studio is really an offering to the yoga / movement community in the town of Telluride. With 20+ years of practicing and teaching, consistency is Jess' super power. These days Jess is mashing up all of her ways of teaching with the intention that students leave classes feeling embodied.
The Practice space and place offers a wide array of classes with teachers that are informed and love what they do.
We encourage you to get here early and linger after to chat with friends or make new ones.
LYMI,
Jess xx
